On Sunday 18 October Renewal performed and ran a workshop at the Arnolfini (Now part of the University of the West of England) as part of the university’s Black History month celebrations. It was a capacity audience as all tickets had been taken up by keen gospel music enthusiasts and the curious. The choir opened up the evening with a lively song set which set a mood of excitement for the rest of the event.
By the time we eased into the workshop session all present were in for an amazing experience of learning and singing gospel. By the end of the workshop their were people visibly moved by the experience and many, who had not sung gospel music “Renewal Style” said the experience far exceeded their expectation! Roll on the next workshop event.
