Thanks to the recent award of a grant from the Old Town Christian Trust to Renewal Choir , the choir now have the means to subsidize and sustain it’s growing prison ministry activity into the future.
Year on year demand continues to increase for the choir to go into prisons in or near Bristol. The gospel of good news powerfully packaged in songs delivered by the choir is a powerful thing in any situation – especial for many inmates who may feel they are in a hopeless situation.
Initiatives like October’s Black History Month have brought in a flood of additional requests for Renewal to deliver concerts and services in Prison in Bristol and surrounding areas and South Wales. However, many of these request do not come with any funds for the choir to defray expenses for assembling 20 to 30 choir members, musicians and a guest speaker
This award of funding from Old Town Christian Trust means Renewal can continue to develop this impacting and growing area of its ministry activity.
