Geraldine Latty – Artist Profile

Renewal choir are thrilled to welcome our great friend and former Renewal Choir member Geraldine Latty to the Joyful Joyful Gospel Goes Festive event line- up on 1 December. We are even more excited to note Geraldine feels honoured and counts it a joy to appear with Renewal Choir at our end of year gospel music extravaganza.

Geraldine, who now lives in North London, has been singing since she learned how to walk and started performing way back in her parent’s church choir. From there her career path and musical journey has grown and flourished into something truly special. Her musical adventures have propelled Geraldine to many places and positions of influence like the Royal Albert Hall, Australia, Head of music, vocal coaching in teenage parent’s school, Lectures on vocal improvisation, BA music degree course, writing and performs regularly with Carey her gorgeous, and multi talented, husband Carey Luce.

Geraldine’s sound fuses music styles including Soul, Gospel, Blues, World, Jazz, Classical and Rock. Even experimental dissonance and unusual use of instruments often finds its way into her sound.  Her prolific songwriting and musical work rate has produced a string of album recording and songs which continue to bless audiences the world over. In the last two years, she has released 2 albums ‘Hold On’ and ‘Freedom’ both produced by Carey and released through LuceMusic.London as part of the Sing Spirituals series.

This last year she featured at Spring Harvest, on BBC Radio 4, and Radio 2 Easter and Geraldine is involved in upcoming Christmas broadcasts, exciting writing projects and continuing developments with GGCC (Gospel Generation Community Choir) and working with Big Sing Choirs around the country.
