Pleased and Proud
27th November was definitely a night to remember as Renewal celebrated its 10th anniversary in style at St Georges Bristol. Kim and Vernon were over the moon at the performance of the choir and just how well the evening went from start to finish with real gusto and panache.
Stepping up a Gear
The choir was in great form and well turned out as Renewal delivered 12 generous serving of heavenly “soul” food to the delight of the near capacity audience.
A special Treat to Make Things Complete?
To add to the feast of song and music was the exceptional vocals of fantastic singer Elaine Simpson of Simpson TenTwelve. Elaine masterfully delivered a “no holding back” set to really captivate the audience to great moments of shear delight. She also featured on a couple of Renewal’s songs with a sprinkling of her bright and moving expression.
A Thousand Words Paints a Beautiful Picture
Local performance poet Miles Chambers provided a striking contrast to the vocals of Renewal and SimpsonTenTwelve with his unmistakable dynamic delivery and poignant reflections.
Support from the Best
The audience was treated to the skill of Internationally renowned choir leader Karen Gibson (Sister of Kim) who led Renewal on the touching song “Strong Hold” which really connected powerfully with the audience and choir in an special and unexpected way.
